I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in the Sensory Ecology and Bioacoustics Lab. At WHOI, I am working to combine my interest in the drivers of evolution and population structure in marine mammals with my goal to conduct research that will improve our ability to manage and conserve valuable resources. Specifically, I am interested in the use of social structure as an ecological and evolutionary strategy in some cetacean species, and the ecological and genetic diversity it creates, through a process called gene-culture evolution.
